Sofia Pettygrove

Sofia Pettygrove is a Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT101259), who’s purpose and commitment as a therapist is to support her clients who find themselves in the midst of adverse or difficult life situations that may require the support, presence and creativity of a skilled professional to find solutions or uncover core issues causing life disruptions. As a therapist, Sofia appreciates working with clientele of all ages, and from all lifestyles: children, teens and adults who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, partnership, relationship or family issues, challenging behaviors on the job or at school, life transitions, and difficult and sensitive matters. She uses a combination of traditional modalities such at cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, strength- based and narrative methods with collaborative styles in order to develop with her client, what works best for them. The client participates in this unique and tailored process of learning new skills to cope with current difficulties. Choosing to engage in this therapeutic process may also help the client who is seeking support gain confidence as they step more fully into their authenticity. Sofia does not look to identify ‘what is wrong” with her clients. She works to collaborate with them to explore, identify and resolve needs, that when addressed, may lead to a path of healing and balance.
