CATHY ABBOTT

Cathy Abbot is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT#52991) with over 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families with a focus on healing from the effects of trauma, working through attachment issues, grief and loss issues, overcoming depression, anxiety, and improving the quality of your personal relationships.

Cathy believes that the therapeutic process is a collaborative one, in which she partners with her clients to assist them in gaining skills they need to reach their goals and make the changes that they desire. Cathy specializes in working with children and adults to heal from the effects of PTSD, which can include attachment issues, anxiety, and panic attacks, to list a few. She also specializes in working with children and adults with ADHD, and has developed several strategies that make living with ADHD easier, including tips for how to parent ADHD children.

Cathy enjoys working with children, adults, individuals, couples and families and is committed to working with her clients in their quest to find courage, hope and happiness.
